Refurbishment of the Foyer in Building II at the New Bulgarian University.

The existing ceiling structure is very low and the colour scheme is entirely in grey – floor, ceiling, walls, furniture, etc. The space feels low, dark, and empty.

The aim of the design is to make the foyer much brighter, more presentable, and to emphasize its academic character. It will bring aliveness to the space and give it a sense of place.

We designed a new higher and brighter ceiling, new light fixtures, new wall-cladding from natural materials, and various zones for temporary work and recreation for the students.
